The House Oversight Committee is investigating claims by conservatives that American banks have been “debanked” based on their political views, Rep James Comer told Fox News’ “Sunday Morning Futures.”
“We’ve heard numerous instances of conservatives being debanked,” said the Kentucky Republican, who is chair of the House Oversight Committee.
“And what we want to know, Is this a process of the bank’s ESG [environmental, social, and governance] policy or is this our government stepping in — like what we found with Twitter and Facebook, where the government stepped in and said they wanted certain conservatives deplatformed and censored and certain conservative content removed?”
