President-elect Donald Trump apparently wants everyone to know South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem has the support of police for her nomination to lead the Department of Homeland Security.
Patrick Yoes, the national president of the Fraternal Order of Police, wrote letters to Trump and Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., the incoming chairman of the Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs, advocating that Noem be confirmed. Trump shared the two letters on his Truth Social account Thursday.
“We ask the Committee to expeditiously review and confirm nominees as soon as possible to ensure a seamless transition,” Yoes wrote in his letter to Paul.
